Burnout & stress disorders
Exhaustion that doesn't lift. Sleep that doesn't restore. We sort the system — and look at what is truly yours.
Burnout isn't one diagnosis, but a state: the stress system has been running hot for months or years without returning to recovery. We build the way back — not overnight, but step by step.
What we look at
- Persistent exhaustion despite weekends and holidays
- Emotional distancing from work, colleagues, patients
- Cynicism about themes that used to matter to you
- Concentration problems, forgetfulness, difficulty deciding
- Physical symptoms — tension, headaches, sleep problems, gut issues
- A sense of only functioning, no longer living
How we work
- 1 Stocktake — we understand which loads have stacked up and which are structural (work, family, own demands).
- 2 Regulation — concrete techniques for calming the nervous system (breath, pauses, sleep hygiene).
- 3 Values work — what would this life be if you had only half? What would be missing, what would be freed?
- 4 Boundaries — you learn to say no without explanation, and to tolerate that.
- 5 Structural change — where needed, we plan changes in the work environment (time off, reduction, change) realistically.
Frequent questions
Does my health insurance cover burnout therapy?
Burnout is classified in ICD-10 as Z73.0 — not an autonomous billing code for therapy. Usually a concurrent depression or adjustment disorder is present, which is billable. We clarify this in the first consultation.
Do I need time off?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sick leave without structural change only postpones the problem. We look together at what actually helps — and I'll speak with your GP if that makes sense.
